A feature now makes it a snap to send directions from a Google search to your Android handset. All you need to do is to make sure that your phone is properly linked to your Google account, something that you normally do when setting up a new handset. Xiaomi has filed a patent application with the State Intellectual Property Office in China. The patent applied for deals with a method to integrate fingerprint scanning into the touch buttons on a handset. The technology could be used on the home button of a handset, possibly the next Xiaomi flagship model which could be the Mi 5.

The Nexus 7 is no longer available from the Google Store. The stock Android slate recently ran into some major trouble when both the OG and second-generation model received the update to Android 5.0.
