BlackBerry 10 users now have WhatsApp voice calling
4/25/2015 2:08:00 AM

No one can accuse WhatsApp of being a slave to any particular platform. The Facebook-owned messaging app has recently rolled out its voice calling feature to Android users and iOS users as well. Also on the list to receive the update is the Windows Phone version of WhatsApp. What about BlackBerry? The new updated version of WhatsApp in BlackBerry World, version 2.12.1.2, happens to include voice calling as well as some other new features.

4/25/2015 1:12:00 AM

It's been hush hush thus far, but in some countries like India, Nokia Lumia 830 stock will not be replenished once the phones are all sold. Earlier this week, Sony officially announced the Xperia Z4 in Japan, mentioning that the handset would not be released outside its home country. However, the company is getting ready to announce another new high-end smartphone sometime in late May, and this one will be made for the global market.

It's not clear if the upcoming Xperia flagship will resemble the Japanese Z4. If it will, it means it's going to look a lot like the Z3 (which resembles the Z2, which, in turn, isn't too different from Sony's previous Xperia Z flagships). We're wondering what our readers think about all this: does ...

Next version of Google Glass rumored to be coming soon
4/24/2015 8:41:00 PM

The second-generation Google Glass could be here before you know it. The CEO of Italian eyewear manufacturer Luxottica, Massimo Vian, spoke earlier today in Milan and mentioned that the next iteration of the connected specs are coming out soon. Vian's company became one of Google's partners in March 2014, involved in the OG Google Glass. Viam couldn't reveal a precise date when we can expect to see the next-gen wearable.

Led by Tony Fadell, who heads up Google's Nest division, the second-generation Glass moves away from portraying the device as a toy for tech nerds, and turns it into a useful ...
