Borderless bandit ZTE Nubia Z9 leaks in flesh and blood
4/20/2015 4:48:00 AM
The ZTE Nubia Z9, expected to be unveiled on May 6th, has leaked in flesh and blood, flaunting what looks like record-thin sides, and a sloping 2.5D display tech. This comes after the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max and ZTE Nubia Z9 mini were already announced on March 26th. The Nubia Z9 mini has already sold out one flash sale, and the Nubia Z9 Max has been delayed due to production issues. It should be released some time next month, though its drama might not bode well for the actual "bezel-less" Nubia Z9's availability at launch.
These new images of the ZTE Nubia Z9 below hold the signature design cues ...
Huawei Honor 7 backplate leaks out, hinting at a metal build and finger scanner
4/20/2015 4:22:00 AM
Huawei's Honor 6 was one of the best kept secrets for its price tag when it launched last year, and now the company is apparently prepping a sequel, which will be in sync with its current premium design philosophy. The Honor 7 looks like it will be made of metal, but might sport a larger screen, compared to the Honor 6, judging from the leaked photos.
The eventual Honor 7 is said to also sport a fingerprint sensor on the back, like the Mate 7 - something that the newly-announced P8 flagship doesn't have. The backplate of the Honor 7 has leaked out now, confirming what could only be a fingerprint ...

Sony Xperia Z4 vs Samsung Galaxy S6 vs HTC One M9 specs comparison: a Mexican standoff
4/20/2015 3:13:00 AM
Sony is the latest manufacturer that refreshed its upper echelon portfolio, as its Xperia Z4 just popped up and relieved the Xperia Z3 from its flagship duties. True, it's pretty much an incremental refreshment and doesn't bring anything strikingly new to the mix. Instilling a noticeable "deja vu" feel, the Xperia Z4 is the latest embodiment of Sony's time-tested OmniBalance design language paired with respectable hardware.
Still, are the subtle hardware changed in the specs sheet enough to ensure the Sony Xperia Z4 a more prominent spot on the market scene? With rivals like the Samsung ...
Sony's Xperia Z4 is only for Japan, company said to unveil another flagship device for the rest of the world at the end of May
4/20/2015 3:00:00 AM
The Sony Xperia Z4 is official. And it's largely identical to the Sony Xperia Z3. Which was identical to the Xperia Z2. Which was a slight change over the original Xperia Z. There are some minimal improvements to the slimness of the phone, and Sony has also made it lighter, plus, the Xperia Z4 is packed with the latest Snapdragon 810 system chip under the hood, but overall, it's hard to get overly excited about what seems a gradual upgrade.

Final Burn Alpha is the Android port of one of the longest-standing CPS & Neo Geo emulators, Final Burn Alpha. On PC, this app existed since the 00s, and is still one of the best tools for the job of playing SNK classics such as Metal Slug, Final Fury, Samurai Shodown, King Of Fighters and all the stuff in-between.

LG G4 to come with one-year free screen replacement, 64GB microSD card in South Korea only
4/20/2015 12:37:00 AM
LG G4 buyers in South Korea who buy the manufacturer's new flagship handset before May 31st will be entitled to some extras that no one is apparently being offered anywhere else. For example, those buying the handset in the country prior to the end of May will be able to replace a cracked or broken screen free for one year following the purchase of the device. The screen can be replaced free just one time over the course of that year.
The second extra being given out to those buying the LG G4 in South Korea before the end of May is quite useful. It is a free 64GB microSD card. It isn't known ...
Samsung ditched its own logo from the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge sold in Japan
4/19/2015 11:58:00 PM
Samsung-made handsets account for only about 5% (five percent) of all the smartphones currently sold in Japan. It appears that Japanese customers aren't that crazy about the Samsung brand, most of them choosing to buy Apple iPhones (these account for about 40% of all handsets), or smartphones made by local manufacturers. However, according to The Korea Herald and a Samsung official, the Galaxy brand is "well established in Japan", that's why Samsung decided not to place its company logo on the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge that will be sold in the country starting April 23.

"Portana" is Cortana ported over to Android
4/19/2015 11:56:00 PM
OrangeSec is a hacker group out of Italy that claims to have ported over Cortana to Android. Cortana is the virtual, voice activated personal assistant employed by many users of handsets powered by Windows Phone 8.1. The group named its port "Portana," and despite the name, it is not a real port since not all of the features are included. For example, Portana cannot integrate with Android apps as Cortana does with Windows Phone apps.
Portana also doesn't connect to Microsoft's servers and only speaks Italian. Apparently, the hacker group was able to get to Cortana's backend without Microsoft's ...

Assuming you don't want to turn it off, we're going to show you how to access and manage your location history.
First of all, you need to make sure that location reporting is enabled on your Android phone or tablet. In case it's not enabled, you can turn it on from Settings -> Location. Once that's done, you also have to enable Google Location History if you ...
