T-Mobile HTC One M9 update is coming to improve the rear camera, BlinkFeed and more

T-Mobile customers sporting the latest flagship model from HTC will soon be the recipients of an 88MB update that will make some improvements to the 20MP rear camera, social media/news reader BlinkFeed and the user experience on the HTC One M9. The update takes the software to version 1.32.531.33.

In order to download and install the update, T-Mobile requires that you be connected to a Wi-Fi nework when going through the updating process, and demands that your battery be charged to at least 50%. Big money: Bell hammered with $750 million class action suit over privacy violations

Carriers like AT&T and Verizon in the United States have come under fire for collection and use of customer data, compiled through the use of "super cookies" to analyze data usage patterns.

The goal is (or was) to package anonymized groups of data and sell it to advertisers who could then target product and service ads, gaining a better "hit" rate. Big Red has a "relevant mobile advertising" (RMA) called "Verizon Selects" which customers can opt-in to receive awards for even more detailed data tracking.

Budget priced Micromax Canvas Spark to be unveiled in India on April 21st

A teaser from Indian smartphone manufacturer Micromax reveals that the company will be unveiling a new device on April 21st. The Micromax Canvas Spark is expected to be a budget-priced handset priced at the equivalent of $96 USD. In India, the device will compete with models like the Xiaomi Redmi 2 and the second-gen Motorola Moto G.

Now that the first three months of 2015 are behind us, we will begin to see reports from the carriers about their financial growth (or not) as well as their subscriber growth (or not).

T-Mobile, who for the better part of the past two years has been outperforming the rest of the US market combined, is expected to continue posting subscriber growth numbers that cast a shadow upon the other three national carriers.

An anonymous former Microsoft employee who designed the new version of Office for Windows 10 for phone, is the subject of an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit. Explaining the reason why the software giant is going to use a hamburger menu on the new build of the mobile OS, he explained that after adding things like a title bar on top for Office, and room for what he calls "hero actions" on the top right of the screen, there wasn't much room left over for a print icon.
