A 15-second Korean video teaser for the LG G4 promotes the leather back edition of the handset. LG's new flagship phone will be unveiled on April 28th at a media event in New York City. A huge leak earlier this month revealed a number of images showing the leather backed device along with images of the phone in metallic black, silk white, shine gold, burgundy red and moon violet.

Google has made it official. As expected, the tech titan has introduced its Project Fi MVNO that will offer consumers wireless service in the U.S. using cellular networks belonging to Sprint and T-Mobile. In addition, Google will also use Wi-Fi networks when available. New technology devised by Google will connect subscribers to the fastest network possible at any given moment, regardless if it is a Wi-Fi connection or a cellular one.

That's why the company today launched its very own dialer app for Android (we already knew that this would eventually arrive). Huawei fights back against ZTE's charges of patent infringement

ZTE is claiming that Huawei infringed on a pair of its patents related to smartphone cameras. Earlier today, ZTE's Weibo page divulged how the manufacturer plans on suing Huawei for using this unlicensed technology. The handsets carrying the patents are apparently the Huawei Honor X2 and the recently unveiled Huawei P8 flagship model.

NVIDIA will soon update the Shield Tablet and Shield Portable to Android 5.1 Lollipop

A couple of NVIDIA's forum administrators recently announced that the company is gearing up to update both the Shield Tablet and the Shield Portable gaming console to Android 5.1 Lollipop, currently the latest version of Google's mobile operating system.


The NVIDIA Shield Portable, which currently runs Android 4.4 KitKat, will be updated straight to Android 5.1 Lollipop. Although the forum administrator didn't mention a specific time-frame, he did mention that "It won't be much longer" before the update rolls out.

Just last week, the Sony Xperia Z4 become official. Now, we are passing along what is alleged to be a picture of the Sony Xperia Z5. Earlier this month (even before the Xperia Z4 was announced) we passed along speculation about the fifth-generation Xperia Z handset that could arrive in the fourth quarter of this year if Qualcomm has the Snapdragon 820 SoC ready by then.

According to Zhiqiang Xu, Huawei's president of USA devices, Huawei is currently gearing up to tackle the US smartphone market, with plans to eventually become one of the three largest brands in the country. After expanding to the European market over the past couple of years, it looks like Huawei is now aiming to increase its footprint in the United States, the second largest smartphone market after Huawei's home market of China. According to analytics firm StatCounter, Apple's mobile Safari browser was responsible for 55% of mobile browsing in the U.S. last month. The data is derived from StatCounter's tracking of over 3 million websites. Following mobile Safari is Google's Chrome, which is available for Android and iOS. According to a new report from the South Korean media, local manufacturer Samsung managed to sell 200,000 Galaxy S6 and S6 edge units in its home country in 10 days of commercial availability. Although previous estimates said that South Koreans have pre-ordered 300,000 units, it looks like the latest smartphones from Samsung are not gaining as much traction in the country as previously believed.
