Qualcomm expects Snapdragon sales to slow during the second half of the year
4/22/2015 8:46:00 PM
Chip maker Qualcomm is expecting business to slow in the second half of this year. While discussing the reasons for this forecast, the company noted that it will have a decline in share at one large customer. We all know what that is all about. When talk first started about the Snapdragon 810 SoC overheating, Samsung decided to stuff the home-grown Exynos 7420 into the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 edge in all regions. Traditionally, Sammy would use a Snapdragon chipset for its flagship phone in the U.S. and in other areas. Now that the Genie is out of the bottle, we'd expect Samsung ...

4/22/2015 6:54:00 PM
While Microsoft already released several own-branded Lumia smartphones (like the 640 and the 540), it has yet to introduce a high-end model. However, this should finally happen sometime later this year, when, according to rumors, Microsoft will launch not one, but two high-end handsets, which could be called Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL.
Not long ago, we heard that the Lumia 940 would sport a 5-inch display, while the 940 XL would have a 5.7-inch one. However, Nokia Power User now reports that the 940 will actually be a bit bigger, offering a 5.2-inch screen (of unknown resolution, probably ...

Like the Tizen powered Samsung Gear S, the Gear A is said to be equipped with a 3G radio and can make and take calls and receive notifications without being paired to a smartphone.
The circular design of the Gear A is expected to allow it to use a new interface that will apparently ...
