4/3/2015 1:48:00 PM
Back in February, we told you that the Lenovo A7600-M had been certified in China by TENAA, the country's equivalent of the FCC. Today, a couple of snapshots featuring the handset have been leaked. Design-wise, the phone appears to be constructed of plastic with metal wrapped around the middle of the unit.
The Lenovo A7600-M offers a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280. An octa-core MediaTek MT6752 is under the hood with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of native storage inside. In the likely event more memory is required, there is a microSD slot on board. Back and front-facing cameras weigh ...
New pictures of the HTC One M9+ provide the best look yet of the premium handset
4/3/2015 11:13:00 AM
The sharpest and clearest images yet of the HTC One M9+ have been revealed in a tweet from @upleaks, and they show the premium handset in greater detail than we've seen before. The button on the bottom front of the device splits the lower BoomSound speaker in half. It also looks more like a dedicated fingerprint scanner that one would swipe rather than a home button to be pressed.
The back of the device resembles the HTC One (M8) more than the new HTC One (M9) with a Duo camera set up. The 5.2-inch screen will carry a 1440 x 2560 resolution and we should see an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 ...

Available for Windows Phone devices since last year, Office Lens lets you scan documents, receipts, business cards, whiteboards, menus, and so on. The app recognizes the corners of a document, thus being able to magically enhance, crop, and clean up images. Thanks to OCR (optical character recognition), Office Lens identifies printed text, allowing you to search ...

iFixit gets an HTC One M9 to tear down. Low repairability score and questionable QC arise
4/3/2015 9:23:00 AM
The guys over at iFixit got their hands on HTC's brand-new (though, not in looks) flagship – the One M9. From there on, they did what they do best – took the device apart and meticulously recorded every little bit of the process for the do-it-yourself guys all over the world. So, what did the tear-down reveal?
Well, upon first sight of the unit, iFixit reports a scratch already being present on the display, out of the box (ouch). The actual packaging also has a small blemish, which is not a huge problem, but doesn't point towards stellar quality assurance when we are talking about a flagship ...

Number crunching - how to add a number row to the stock Google keyboard
4/3/2015 8:24:00 AM
With the default Google Keyboard, things are peachy until it comes to punching in a number. You are pressed to either hold down on the upper row of keys, or press a button to switch between the numbers & symbols keyboard layout. Both actions are quite inconvenient if you often enter numbers in your messages. Thankfully, there is a way to get a number row on top of all your Android keyboard buttons. The procedure doesn't involve any tricks, hacks and mods, but you may find it rather convoluted.
