So, now that we are officially in the Galaxy S6 / S6 edge launch month, Samsung will, naturally, be pushing various promotional material out in the media space, making sure that its metal-clad warriors are noticed and remembered by many. This latest tidbit is a 20-some second clip of reactions of random people who see the Galaxy S6 for the very first time. Some vague specs of a what might end up being the Samsung Galaxy J7 just got caught on Samsung's website. The user agent profile of a device with the SM-J700F model number got spotted, hinting us that Samsung's J-series, which currently comprises the Galaxy J1 only, might soon receive reinforcements.

With all the Sony Xperia Z4 rumors and leaks that have piled up, it seems likely that the phone is coming sooner or later. We've seen early renders of it and the major blanks in its specs sheet have been all filled, pretty much. Before launching commercially, however, there's a hurdle that Sony's flagship will have to clear. We're talking about the handset passing through the FCC's rigorous testing procedures. According to the unnamed sources from South Korea, Samsung Display is reportedly already prepping itself for the next member of the Galaxy family, the Samsung Galaxy S7, which will most probably make the rounds in Q1 2016.

Yesterday, as part of its 5th year anniversary, Xiaomi unveiled its most budget handset to date, the Redmi 2A. Pricing it at the equivalent of $97 USD, the company swapped the quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 SoC found on the Xiaomi Redmi 2 with a quad-core 1.5 GHz Leadcore LC1860 chipset. That means a new GPU, of course, and thus the Adreno 306 GPU is out, and the Mail T622 MP2 GPU is in.

Apple Pay has certainly helped consumers focus more attention on mobile payment services. For example, a survey reveals that 66% of Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus users have signed up to use the service. But things are not going as smoothly as it would seem. 50% of Apple Pay users have visited a store that was listed as an Apple Pay merchant only to find out that the store did not accept Apple Pay, or was not yet ready to do so.

This one is another fun April Fool's endeavor, but it is also something you can play around with too, as Microsoft not only brings MS-DOS back to life, but also has an emulator to use the good old fashioned C:\-prompt on your Windows Phone.

Court approves a deal that gives Sprint one-third of the retail space inside 1740 Radio Shack Stores

In February, Radio Shack filed for bankruptcy. On Tuesday, the bankruptcy court approved a plan that will turn 1740 Radio Shack locations into Radio Shack/Sprint co-branded stores. Sprint's operation will occupy one-third of each store. Delaware bankruptcy court Judge Brendan Shannon approved the sale of the stores to a hedge fund named Standard General.
