10 amazing multiplayer games to play on one smartphone or tablet! (Android and iOS)
4/8/2015 9:44:00 AM

With today's new consoles and over-the-top high-quality graphics, developers have shied away from adding hot seat (couch co-op, split screen, etc.) to their games so much that it's nigh impossible to have some good ol' "playing together" with a sibling or a friend. With only a few contemporary games supporting two controllers, you may be getting ready to see split screen slowly tumble away into our past, preparing those tears of nostalgia. But who would've guessed that present-day mobile devices, such as handsets and tablets, would actually come to the rescue?

Well, ...

Android Lollipop runs on 5.4% of devices in April, still less popular than Gingerbread
4/8/2015 9:40:00 AM

Ready for your monthly Android version distribution check-up? Google has published the numbers for April, and the latest report reveals Lollipop thrives on 5.4% of the world's Android devices, five months after its source code was made available. There's some good growth for sure, seeing that Lollipop was up and running on just 3.3% of devices in March. The number should keep growing, as device manufacturers are shipping tons of Android 5.0 devices, and current high-end smartphones all come running Lollipop out of the box.

Besides, with amazing devices such as the Samsung ...

Best Android browsers, 2015 edition: design, features, and performance
4/8/2015 9:13:00 AM

Years ago, when smartphones weren't quite as ubiquitous as they are today, industry analysts and researchers alike all agreed on one thing: it's only a matter of time until mobile browsing overshadows surfing done on a desktop computer. Fast-forward to today, and we're already past that point – smartphones are by far the most popular device to go on the internet through. It turns out that, much like cameras, the best browsing device is the one you have on your person at all times.

With the above in mind, learning that browser apps – ...

Case for Xperia Z4 tips that it won't be Z3's identical twin
4/8/2015 9:03:00 AM

If you thought the upcoming Sony Xperia Z4 looks identical to the Z3 before it, you might have a point... to an extent. Despite what seems to be a now-traditional Xperia flagship shape and form, the Z4 will be different than its predecessor, suggests the layout of a case that is reportedly made specifically for Sony's 2015 flagship.

The cutouts indicate that the microUSB port has been (thankfully) moved at the comfortable bottom, while the magnetic charging connector might have been scrapped altogether. Does this mean that the Sony Xperia Z4 won't have a flap over the microUSB ...

Bonfire Photo Editor is a fine suite of photo filters and color editing functionality
4/8/2015 8:50:00 AM

Bonfire Photo Editor is a fine suite of photo filters and color editing functionality. One of the things we like about it is the insanely simple user interface. You just load a photo inside the app - it can be one you just took with your device's camera - and move onto seasoning and peppering it with filters! Thanks to some OpenGL 3.0 optimization wizardry, Bonfire is super quick at applying any of its filters, even when it's working with high resolution images. The downside is the app can output images at maximum of 4096x4096, so keep that in mind if you plan on blowing up your edited images ...

Another day, another Sony Xperia Z4 leak sprouts. Whoever is the lucky person wielding it, they are surely enjoying the hot-shot Sony flagship in the great outdoors, snapping photos of the gorgeous nature. Joy like this definitely has to be shared, which is why we have two more snapshots taken with the Xperia Z4 to show you after the first one that leaked a few days ago.

The Z4 seems rather promising in the camera department - it is equipped with a 20MP cam sensor which doesn't present a more impressive case than the Samsung Galaxy S6 & edge do when it comes to fine ...

After recently getting its Bluetooth SIG certification, the new Galaxy S6 version was recently spotted in an alleged leaked photo of AT&T's inventory list. Galaxy S6 goes through scratch, bend and fire testing: tough as nails (video)
4/8/2015 6:51:00 AM

The new Galaxy S6 ships with a premium metal-and-glass fusion of a unibody - a first for a Samsung flagship, and has already withstood its fare share of the inevitable torture chamber that each new and popular handset goes through nowadays.

Both the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge use a grade 6013 aluminum alloy for their casing, while most other smartphones, including the iPhone 6/6 Plus, make do with a derivative of the inferior 6063 grade. While 6013 is not the highest end 7075, it is in-between, and is still used to make things that need to be light and durable, like plane fuselage, ...
