Facebook starts to integrate with its WhatsApp messaging app

Last year, Facebook purchased messaging app WhatsApp for nearly $22 billion. Now, the two are working together on integrating their services. A new version of Facebook (v. 31.0.0.7.13) allows users to send and share news to WhatsApp subscribers via a "send" button on the bottom of a Facebook page. The button hasn't appeared in the latest public version of the app making it likely that it is available only to Facebook beta testers.
Despite comments made after Facebook announced the acquisition of WhatsApp that both would continue to operate as standalone applications, there is speculation ...
