The Second US Circuit Court of Appeals in New York shot down several legal arguments posited by the US government as justification for the collection and surveillance of phone records in the wake of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

The court ruled that the National Security Agency program, operating off of Section 215 of the Patriot Act, enacted in 2001, which collected the phone records, was illegal. However, the court did not address whether the surveillance was a violation of constitutional privacy rights, something that the ACLU and others have been alleging all along.

The new G4 flagship is fresh out of the oven from LG, and with it come plenty of smartphone "firsts," mainly in the camera area, like a unique color spectrum sensor, or a tri-axis optical image stabilization. The internals are not the only thing lifted out of the ordinary, though, as the LG G4 also offers versions with unorthodox stitched leather backs, and we are talking genuine tanned leather here.

To celebrate this achievement, LG has even included a matching stitched leather wallpaper in its official homescreen backgrounds collection that you can find on the G4. We are posting ...

Taplet is dead simple - just record a video at 60, 120, or 240 fps, or load the ones you've already taken to the app. You can then tap on any frame to pull it out in high resolution, give it a bit of retouching, and then share instantly to the usual channels like Facebook, Instagram ...

Earlier today, we told you that the BlackBerry Classic would be available at T-Mobile on May 13th. While many suggest that Apple will follow tradition and release similarly-looking iPhones with updated internals later this year, others suggest that the Cupertino-based manufacturer will break its pattern and jump straight to the iPhone 7 series. Whichever turns out to be the case, the next-generation iPhones are probably still a long way off. However, this hasn't stopped designer Martin Hajek from creating some stunning renders of what Apple's iPhone ...
