Sony announces Xperia C4, the company's latest selfie phone

Sony has launched the new Xperia C4 and the Xperia C4 Dual smartphones, which they are calling a "selfie smartphone". Both phones have a 5.5-inch, 1920x1080 resolution IPS display, 64-bit MediaTek MTK6752 SoC with 1.7GHz octa-core CPU and Mali 760 MP2 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory with microSD support, LTE, 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5 megapixel front camera also with an LED flash, 2,600mAh battery, and Android 5.0 Lollipop. Xperia C4 and C4 Dual will be available in white, black, and green in select markets from the beginning of June...

 

Motorola posts Android 5.1 release notes for 1st and 2nd gen Moto X

Motorola has posted release notes for the Android 5.1 update for both the first and second-gen Moto X as well as the Moto X Pure Edition, indicating that the devices are set to receive the update soon. The first-gen Moto X is still at Android 4.4.4, which means that the Android 5.1 update for the device will also bring along Android 5.0 features, including Material Design, Lock Screen notifications, Quick Settings, a new flashlight option as part of Quick Settings, and the new Recent Apps page. As for the second-gen Moto X and Moto X Pure Edition, which are already on Android 5.0, the update will bring along features such as Device Protection, Heads-up Notifications, reduced camera noise in low-light shots, as well as some performance-related improvements and bug fixes.
