BlackBerry releases official video showing off the new BlackBerry Leap

Earlier this month, the BlackBerry Leap was introduced. This is a handset with a 5-inch screen offering a resolution of 720 x 1280. A dated dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU is under the hood with the Adreno 225 GPU handling graphics. 2GB of RAM is inside along with 16GB of native storage. Those who need additional memory can turn to the 128GB microSD slot on board. The back and front-facing cameras weigh in at 8MP and 2MP, respectively and a 2800mAh battery keeps the lights on for up to 25 hours. BlackBerry surprised Wall Street and Main Street by reporting that it earned a profit of $28 million, or 5 cents a share, for the fourth quarter ended February 28th. A year earlier, the company reported a loss of $148 million, or 28 cents a share. Removing one-time items from the bottom line, BlackBerry turned a profit of $20 million, or 4 cents a share. Wall Street expected the company to report a loss of 4 cents a share for the period. The company sold-through 1.6 million handsets during the quarter

HTC has started running a 30-second ad for the HTC One M9 in the U.K. No, Robert Downey Jr. isn't anywhere to be found in this made-for-TV commercial. Showing kids running around a museum with the HTC One M9 in hand, we are supposed to get the message that the manufacturer's new handset is fun and that wherever you go with the device, a good time follows.

Yesterday, when OnePlus held an AMA (ask me anything) session on Reddit, Carl Pei, one of the company's co-founders, answered to a question about the next-generation OnePlus flagship smartphone.

According to Carl Pei, the handset is indeed called OnePlus 2, just as previously reported. Interestingly, Pei mentioned that he thinks the OnePlus 2 will be one of the four "really influential flagship smartphones this year", alongside Samsung's Galaxy S6, HTC's One M9, and Apple's iPhone 6s (of whatever the new iPhone will be called in the end).

Starting tomorrow, those in India with a hankering for the 64GB Xiaomi Mi 4 can purchase the phone without having to participate in a flash sale of the device. That means you can wake up at 3am with a craving for the flagship handset, and make the purchase right then and there. Just the other day, Xiaomi ran a flash sale for the model and did not announce a sell out. That usually means that it is time to revert to open sales of a product. Remember the Nokia Lumia 930? Yeah, that same high-end phone Nokia announced last April, flaunting a 20MP optically stabilized PureView camera. It might have been a year since the handset made its debut, but its camera has not lost its mojo just yet. In fact, the Nokia Lumia 930 just won our blind camera comparison after collecting over 6000 votes in its favor. That's quite an achievement, we must say, knowing how capable are the cameras of its competitors.

Sony came out swinging at the MWC expo this month, and outed the amazing Xperia Z4 Tablet, which clocks in at just 6.1mm thin, and still kept the waterproof chassis of its predecessors.

Apple also managed to trim the waistline of its metal-clade iPad Air 2 to the incredible 6.1mm, which can't be an easy thing to do, considering we have an aluminum shell. We don't know what Dell did, but it weaseled out with a tenth of a millimeter less for its Venue 8 7000 slate, and the Sony isn't far behind those two - all amazing achievements.
